Local businesses and tenants of the Aldershot Enterprise Centre came together at the Grand Opening of the new office premises on Victoria Road in central Aldershot on Friday 29th September.

Members of Rushmoor Borough Council, WSX Developments Ltd and Aldershot Enterprise Management staff were joined by The Mayor of Rushmoor, Council Clive Grattan and local MP Leo Docherty for the Grand Opening.

The Mayor of Rushmoor Borough Council, Councillor Clive Grattan officially opened the centre. Speeches were made by Leader of the Council, David Clifford, Chair of WSX Developments Ltd, Ian Cambrook and Peter Grant, Chief Executive of WSX Developments Ltd commending the benefits that the Aldershot Enterprise Centre brings to the local economy.  Local businesses, charities and councillors were able to tour the facilities available at the centre, enjoy food laid on by Chappies, the onsite café, as well as entertainment from Clive the Magician.

The Mayor of Rushmoor, Councillor Clive Grattan officially opened the Aldershot Enterprise Centre on Friday 29th September.

David Clifford, the leader of Rushmoor Borough Council said:

“We welcome this investment in Aldershot. The council was delighted to support WSX Developments Ltd in opening this newly refurbished facility. Ideally located in Aldershot town centre, and close to the railway station, the Centre will help to support small and growing businesses and help to secure the future prosperity of our borough.”

 

Speeches were made by Peter Grant, CEO of WSX Developments Ltd, David Clifford, Leader of Rushmoor Borough Council and Ian Cambrook, Chair of WSX Developments Ltd.

Lorna Oldham, Centre Manager was delighted with the turnout on the day:

“It’s wonderful to see so many people here today to see what we have on offer for the local business community. I am excited to continue the work that we began 9 years ago in our wonderful new building!”

Aldershot Enterprise Centre tenant Laura Davis, CEO of the British Association for Supported Employment, moved with the centre from their previous location at Mandora House said:

“Since moving to the new office in the centre of Aldershot it’s brought even greater benefits to me as a smaller charity. I’m connected into a community of other organisations so in terms of my own wellbeing and mental health I’m not isolated in the way that I could be in other offices.”

 

Managed by WSX Developments, and with support from Rushmoor Borough Council, the Aldershot Enterprise Centre offers competitively priced office space meeting room hire, co-working space and a large modern café on site.
